On March 17, 2025, Mia Leah Mejia died by suicide. She was 13 years old. Mia was known for her kindness, selflessness, infectious laugh, and warm smile. Her family, friends and community are devastated.
The weeks before Mia took her life, she experienced a series of assaults at Lexington Jr. High School in Cypress, Ca where she attended as a 7th grader.
